Theonila Roka Matbob, a prominent figure from Papua New Guinea, has been recognized with the prestigious Goldman Prize for her dedication to environmental and social restoration.
Her efforts focus on addressing the significant harms inflicted by a copper and gold mine on the local rainforest, which has suffered extensive degradation.
